Margaret and Frank McMahon, 1914 (ATMR Family Collection)
My grandma was meant to be in this photograph, but she wouldn’t sit still. Every time the photographer carefully posed the three youngest McMahon children and turned his back to go to the camera, my grandma would get up and run to her mom.
Grandma was just under two-years-old at the time of this photo. She claimed she could walk from the age of nine months, telling me, with a chuckle, that she was so short that she could walk clear under the kitchen table, with room to spare.
Grandma managed to stay put for this photo, up on a chair with mom right behind her.

I live in Saint Paul, Minnesota. My heritage pretty much covers the map of Ireland: great-great-grandparents from Cork (Crowley, Foley, Regan), a great-great-grandmother from Clare (Quinn), a great-great-grandfather from Fermanagh (McMahon) and his wife's parents from Mayo (McAndrew), a great-grandmother from Connemara (Hannon) married to my great-grandfather from Laois (McCormack), great-grandparents from Sligo (Flannery), and a great-grandmother from Kildare (Hill). All of those people ended up in Minnesota, where my four grandparents were born.
Three and four generations after my people left Ireland for America, I retain all Irish heritage. So much for the melting pot...

Hello, I have a Eliza McMahon married to a Felix McFarlane. I have a death date of 5 Feb 1887 for Felix in Adjala, Ontario. Sorry I have no other dates for Felix or Eliza. I do have they were born in Ireland.
I have one son Terrance marriage record from the Canada web set that lists Felix and Eliza has parents.
Would this be a McMahon in your family tree? thanks, Ellanor

I don’t know that my McMahons have links to Canada. They came from County Fermanagh in Ireland, yours?
Thanks for stopping by the blog!
